About L'IMPASTO Pizza

L’IMPASTO opened in November 2016. Sara, the owner and manager, has over 18 years experience in a commercial kitchen, and a lifetime of Italian food knowledge. Growing up with both a mum and dad in  food and wine, it was inevitable she would make a career in the same industry.

From apprentice to chef, Sara’s journey has seen her working in places like Beppi’s Italian restaurant, Casa di Nico (King Street Wharf), Shangri-la Hotel (Altitude kitchen) Novotel (Sydney Olympic Park) just to name a few. A highlight of her career was a sabatical in Italy to study all regions of Italian food and wine, and being awarded her Chef Masters in Italian Cuisine.

The gastronomic philosophy of L’IMPASTO? That “quality ingredients and bold flavours are the key to simple food done well”.
